This paper presents the design and development of a low-cost robotic hand prototype controlled by a glove equipped with flex sensors. The system utilizes an Arduino Uno microcontroller, five MG90S servo motors, and five flex sensors powered by a 5.1V source to replicate human hand movements. The prototype serves as an educational tool for novice engineers and a cost-effective assistive device for individuals with disabilities. The system achieves 85% accuracy in replicating hand movements, with a total cost below $50. This study outlines the design methodology, experimental results, and potential applications, demonstrating the feasibility of affordable mechatronic solutions in robotics.
